Create expressive artwork with acrylic paint in this hands-on workshop focused on texture, color, and mixed media. Whether you're new to acrylics or looking to expand your artistic practice, you'll experiment with a variety of nontraditional materials to create layered, dimensional artwork.

Each participant will contribute an object from home to a collaborative still life, which will serve as the inspiration for the day's painting. Using acrylic paint alongside materials such as modeling paste, sand, pebbles, and other textural mediums, you'll learn how to build layers, create depth, and transform a traditional still life into a more abstract, sculptural composition.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have completed an original textured painting while gaining new techniques for incorporating mixed media into your acrylic practice.

What to Bring:
Please bring one object from home to include in the shared still life. Objects should be no larger than 12 × 12 inches. All painting materials and textural mediums are provided.

Experience Level:
No previous experience is necessary. This workshop is suitable for students ages 12 and up.
